Explanation:

The first thing I did to come to this conclusion was creating a table so that I could see that 4.1 miles over 1 liter equals 195 mils over x liters. Once I had done that to get x to equal ~47.6 I plugged that into yet another table where I had 1 liter equal £1.14 which was equal to ~47.6 equal £x. After that I divided the numerators by each other to get ~47.6, I multiplied the £1.14 by 47.6 to get an overall cost of £54.26 overall for the entire car trip.

Petrol comsumption

= 195 / 4.1 = 1950 / 41 = 47.6

Cost of petrol = 47.6 x 1.14 = 54.26
