Answer: Y = x + 2.

Start off with the linear formula — y = mx + b

M is the slope find the slope by putting rise over run. In this case it is 5 as the rise and 5 as the run. This means 5(rise)/5(run) which is equivalent to 1. M is 1

B is the y intercept. In this case it is 2

You don’t have to show 1 as the slope because anything multiplied by one is itself so just get rid of the m and keep the x.

This leaves you with y = x + 2
