y = 1/4 x -3

Explanation:

The y intercept ( or where it crosses the y axis ) is -3

Pick 2 points to find the slope

(0,-3) and (4,-2)

The slope is

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= (-2 --3)/ (4-0)

= (-2+3)/4

1/4

The slope intercept form of the equation is

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = 1/4 x -3
