Explanation:

The line q has the same slope (-1/2) as line p as the 2 lines are parallel.

Equation of the line q:

y - 8 = -1/2(x - 4)

y - 8 = -1/2x + 2

y = -1/2 x + 2 + 8

y = -1/2 x + 10.
