I have written 2x-18=-2y+12
Then I added 18 is that correct so far.

Answer:

3

Explanation:

2x-18=-2y+12

y=12

2x-18=-2(12)+12

2x-18=-24+12

2x-18=-12

2x-18+18=-12+18

2x=6

(2x)/(2) =(6)/(2)

x=3

Answer:

x = 3

Explanation:

=> 2x-18 = -2y+12

Given that y = 12

Putting in the above equation to get the value of x

=> 2x-18 = -2(12)+12

=> 2x-18 = -24+12

=> 2x-18 = -12

Adding 18 to both sides

=> 2x = -12+18

=> 2x = 6

Dividing both sides by 2

=> x = 3
