Explanation:

4x = y ..... equ1

2x^2 - y =0 ..... equ2

y = 4x

substitute the value of y into equ 2

Then we have; 2x^2 - 4x = 0

2x (x - 2) = 0

2x = 0

x = 0/2 = 0

x - 2 = 0

x = 2.

then put the values of x in equ 1...

y = 4x

y = 4(0)

y = 0

y = 4x

y = 4(2)

y = 8

i.e (2,8)
