The length of a rectangle is twice its width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 156 feet. What is the length and the width of the rectangle?​

Answer: The length will be 52 and the width will be 26

Explanation:

If the formular to calculate Perimeter of a rectangle is

P = 2* (L+W)

and the length L= 2W.

156 = 2* (2W+ W)

156 = 2* (3W)

156 = 6W

Solving for W

W= 26

Since in the question the Length L is 2* W(width)

L= 2* 26 = 52
