PLEASE HELPPPP For a short time after a wave is created by wind, the height of the wave can be modeled using y = a sin 2πt/T, where a is the amplitude and T is the period of the wave in seconds. Write an equation for the given function given the amplitude, period, phase shift, and vertical shift. amplitude: 4, period 4 phase shift = vertical shift = -2

Answer:

y= 4 sinx/2-3

Explanation:

y= a sin2πt/T

where : a is the amplitude , t is the time in seconds, and T is a period of wave is seconds.

y=A sin (B(x+C)) +D

amplitude A = 4

2π/B is period = 4

C is the phase shift = -2

D is vertical shifts = -2

now substitute the numbers in the equation :

y= A sin ( B(x+C)) + D

y= 4 sin (4(x-2) -2

y=4sin(4x-8)-2
