8 + 7 + 3 + 2 = 20

Then use Pythagoras to work out the lengths of the remaining lines


\sqrt{ {2}^(2) + {4}^(2) } = 2 √(5) \\ \sqrt{ {3}^(2) + {1}^(2) } = √(10) \\ 20 + √(10) + 2 √(5) = 27.63441362

So to three decimal places it would be;


27.634
