⇒100% - 58% = 42%

To find how many boys are in that school, you multiply 1250 by 42%.

i.e.
(42)/(100) * 1250

=

= 4.2 × 125

= 525

∴ There are 525 boys in that school.

OR

You can find the number of boys there by subtract the product of 58% and 1250 by 1250.

i.e. Number of girls=
(58)/(100) * 1250

=
(58)/(10) * 125

= 5.8 × 125

= 725

∴ The boys in that school are:

= 1250 - 725

= 525

∴ There are 525 boys in that school.
