Answer: D The speaker is accepting of the student’s request to pray.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the poem, Window Seat by Molly McGinnis, The Speaker was lost in thought when the Muslim student asked him if he didn't mind if he could pray.

His reaction indicated that he did not mind if the student prayed and he even remarked inwardly how people in the storm raging thousands of feet below the Airplane did not bother to ask permission.

I suppose the student made the request due to the rampant Islamophobia going on around the world and the fear people feel when a person speaks Arabic. We can only pray to move on from such discriminatory times as well as the times and reasons that cause the fear and be more accepting in future.
