First problem: 1/4 chance

Second problem: 1/6 chance of happening

Explanation:

To find the probability we need to multiply the chance of each separate thing happening by each other in each example.

In the first example we have a 1/2 chance that a tail was tossed and 3/6 chance that an even number was rolled.


(1)/(2) *(3)/(6) = (3)/(12) =(1)/(4)

So in the first example we have 1/4 chance of happening or 0.25

Same thing with the second example:


(1)/(2) *(2)/(6) = (2)/(12) =(1)/(6)
