Answer:

Equation of a line passes (x1, y1) in point-slope form:

y - y1 = a(x - x1)

Slope = -2 => a = -2

=> y - y1 = -2(x - x1)

That line passes (-2, 1)

=> x1 = -2, y1 = 1

=> y - 1 = -2(x - (-2))

<=> y - 1 = -2(x + 2)
