Which sun is providing energy to this planet, and can the planet sustain life ?

Answer:

no it cannot sustain itself without the sun.

Animals need the sun for vitimin D plants need it to photosynthesis and in the few cases that this isn't the case those plants are parasitic and still need photosynthesing plants to get energy from. So by removing the sun we lose plants that many herbovore animals rely on then they starve resulting in lose of food for carnivores so they starve aswell. And any life left after that would most likely freeze.
