Explain why caesium is more reactive than sodium.
You should answer in terms of electrons.

Down the group, the no. Of electron shells increases, and the distance between the nucleus and valance electrons increases. hence the attraction between the nucleus and valance electrons weakens. For metals, they have a tendency to lose electrons, and since down the group the attraction weakens, it is easier to lose electrons and hence it is more reactive.
