James places 1 counter in the first box.he placed 2 counters in the second box,4 counters in the third box ,8 counters in the fourth box ,and continues the pattern until he gets to the tenth box how many counters did James place in the tenth box?

He placed 512 counters in the tenth box

Because... If you do a (number pattern aka a list of numbers that follow a certain sequence or pattern) your pattern will be 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512, So in the tenth box it will be 512 because I did the pattern and reached the tenth number, which is 512 so me and Avajcantu are correct.
