Answer:

3, -15, 75, -375, 1875

Explanation:

To find the first 5 terms of a sequence we need to know the answer to the equation when n = 1, n = 2, n =3, n = 4 and n = 5 .

When n = 1 we have this equation:

a = 3 * (-5) ^(1-1) = 3 * (-5)^0 = 3 * 1 = 3. So the first terms is 3

Then when n = 2:

a = 3 * (-5) ^(2-1) = 3 * (-5) ^1 = -15

and so forth...

So in order to get the next term in the sequence just multiply by -5 or work out the equation.
