Explanation:

If you place 25 square tables in a line, the 23 tables in the middle can only seat 2 people each since the other two sides are touching two other tables. The end two tables can seat 3 people since only one of their sides is touching another table.

So multiply 23 by 2 to find out how many people are sitting in the middle and then add 6 people for the two tables on the end.

23(2) + 3(2) = 52 people
