Explanation:

For this question, all you have to do is multiply the number outside the bracket by the number inside the bracket.

12 x -2

The law of negatives says that when you multiply a positive number by a negative number, the answer will be negative

∴ the answer will be negative

all that's left now is to multiply 12 by 2

12 x 2 = 24 (remember the answer will be negative)

answer: -24
