Johnny is with some friends who are toilet papering the neighborhood. One of the residents sees Johnny throwing toilet paper up in a tree and calls the police. Officer Joe arrives and sees Johnny in the front yard of the house with a roll of toilet paper. Officer Joe steps out of his fully marked patrol car and tells Johnny to stay where he is. Johnny gives Officer Joe a look and takes off running. What can Johnny be charged with?

Answer:

The crime Johnny would be charged with all depends on what state Johnny is in. Because there is no specific statute or law concerning "Toilet papering the neighborhood", he could be charged with anything on the grounds of littering, trespassing, and disorderly conduct to criminal mischief. These range from misdemeanors to felony's. Now because Johnny decided to run from Officer Joe he would be charged with the crime of evading arrest. Which is when a person flees (runs away) from a police officer to avoid being apprehended, detained, or arrested. Which is exactly Johnny did. This could be either a misdemeanor or felony depending again on which state he is in.

Step-by-step explanation:

Current law knowledge. Hope this helps :)
