In order from sea to land:
- Belgian gates: 10-ft high steel structures with antitank mines on top. Set parallel to the beach.
- Teller mines: Mines angled on posts angled seaward.
- Ramps: Mine-tipped logs, in the sand in a ramp shape.
- Hedgehogs: The classic 6-ft high obstacles welded of steel rails. Would rip the bottom out of landing craft.
- Barbed wire, minefields: To slow infantry and tanks down, and possibly cause damage.
- Pillboxes: Small concrete bunkers protecting machine gun or anti-tank nests.
- Natural cliffs: Self-explanatory. Hundereds of feet tall.
- Conrete bunkers: Made of steel-reinforced concrete, with 75 and 88 mm guns.
