Answer:

A) x + 5y = -2

B) 2x -7y = 10

We multiply A) by -2

A) -2x -10y = 4 then we add B)

B) 2x -7y = 10

-17y = 14

y = -(14/17) then plugging this into A)

A) x = -2 +-5*(-14/17)

A) x = -2 + 4.1176470588

A) x = 2.1176470588
