Answer: 312 square meters

Work Shown:

1 cm = 2 meters is the scale factor

Multiply both sides by 12 so that the "1 cm" turns into "12 cm". We then get

12 cm = 24 meters

The length of the actual tennis court is 24 meters.

----------

The width of the actual tennis court is 13 meters because

1 cm = 2 meters

6.5*1 cm = 6.5*2 meters ... multiply both sides by 6.5

6.5 cm = 13 meters

----------

Since the actual court is 24 meters by 13 meters, the area is therefore 24*13 = 312 square meters
