How would I find the solution of -10= -5+x

You get -5

Explanation:

You need to ADD 5 to each side. -10+5=-5

Also please do remember, that the sign with the greater number WILL ALWAYS be used. Example:

-20=5+X

In this situation you will use the negatives.

Answer:

-5 = x

Explanation:

First you begin with adding 5 to the other side of the equal sign.

Why? because you want to get "x" by itself, in other words, isolate the variable. and by adding 5 you make 0 on that side

So -10+5 = 5

Therefore -5 = x
