y = 2x-7

Explanation:

The slope intercept form of a line is given by

y= mx+b

Where m is the slope and by is the y intercept

y= 2x+b

Substitute the point into the equation

1 = 2(4) +b

1 = 8+b

Subtract 8 from each side

1-8 = 8-8+b

-7 = b

y = 2x-7
