Let us assumed that, vector a is 3i+2j and another vector is b. The scalar product of vector 3i + 2j and b is 10. Let

b = xi+yj

ATQ,


a{\cdot} b=10\\\\(3i+2j){\cdot} (xi+yj)=10\\\\3x+2y=10

Now we can find vector b using hit and trial method i.e. if x = 2, y = 2 and if x = 4 and y = -1.

Then vector b can be :


b=2i+2j

or


b=4i-j
