X= -1 y= -2

Explanation:

y= 3x+1

y-1 =3x

X= y-1/3...(1)

-x+2y= -3

-(x-2y)= -3

x-2y=3

(y-1/3)-2y =3 (from eq (1))

y-1-6y =3×3

-5y= 10

y= -2

X= y-1/3

= -2-1/3

x = -1
