Answer: The area of the triangle is 24 square inches

Hi, since the 2 triangles form a parallelogram ( see attachment) we have the base and height of the triangles, we have to apply the next formula:

Area of a triangle; (base x height) /2

Replacing with the values:

A = (8x6 )/2

A = 48 /2

A = 24 square inches
