Adolf Hitler, who was the leader of Germany during this time, had always argued that Germans were superior to essentially everybody else. More specifically, this "Aryan race" which they believed to be the "master race." Aryan people, in Hitler's eyes, had fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. If someone did not have one of these traits, Hitler would think they were impure and were not worthy of Germany. This also caused the belief that "Nazi eugenics" was needed.
