The latter will allow it to facilitate the function of the hydrolytic enzymes it receives from the Golgi apparatus, thus finally forming the lysosomes, organelles specialized in degradation.

In transport through "transcytosis", the endocited material is transported in endosomes from one end of the cell to the other, being released by the process called exocytosis.
