Find the circumferences of the two circles. Circle A has a radius of 21 meters and Circle B has a radius of 28 meters. Use pencil and paper. Is the relationship between the radius of a circle and the distance around the circle the same for all circles? Explain. The circumference of Circle A is nothing meters.

Answer:

  • Circumference of Circle A=131.95m
  • Circumference of Circle B=175.93m

Explanation:

Given two circles A and B

  • Circumference of a circle =
    2 \pi r
  • Radius of Circle A=21 meters

Circumference of Circle A
=2*21*\pi=42\pi=131.95m meters

  • Radius of Circle B=28 meters

Circumference of Circle B
=2*28*\pi=56\pi=175.93m meters

The larger the radius of a circle, the larger the circumference. We notice that the radius of circle B is larger so its circumference is also larger.
