Let the width (W) of the yard be "X"


W = w

Then the length(L) of the yard will be


2(1)/(4) * w


L = (9)/(4) *w

The perimeter of the yard will be equal to the sum of twice the length and width of the yard

Thus,


P = 2 W + 2L\\

Substituting the given values in above equation, we get -


P = 2 w + 2 ((9)/(4))w\\P = 2w + 4.5 w\\P = 6.5w

Thus, width in terms of perimeter is equal to
