Answer:

SOLUTION:-

\rm{passed \: percent = { \displaystyle{33 (1)/(3) \%} = (100)/(3)\% }}

{ \displaystyle{ \rm{failed \: percent = \left( 100 - (100)/(3) \right)}\%}}

\displaystyle{ (3 * 100 - 100)/(3)\% }

\displaystyle{ (200)/(3)\% }

Let,x be the total number of examinees:-

We have,

\displaystyle{ (200)/(3)\% \: \rm{of \: x = 240} }

\displaystyle{ (200)/(3) * (1)/(100) \rm \: x = 240}

\displaystyle{ \rm{x = (240 * 3 * 100)/(200) }}

\displaystyle{ \rm{x = 360}}

Hence,required number of examinees = 360 .
