First take into account how much will be added with sales tax:

$562 • 0.06 = $33.72

Add the sale price with the sales tax:

$562 + $33.72 = $595.72

Once you have that number for the new sale price, you can add together your discounts (20% + 2%) to find out how much is taken off.

$595.72 • 0.22 = $131.06

Then finally you subtract the discount total:

$595.72 - $131.06 = $464.66

He pays $464.66
