first, we need to find side of square

{x}^(2) = 36 \\ x = 6

36:3=12cm^2 - for 1 part

first rectangle has area of

12*2=24cm^2

secomd rectandle has area of

12*1=12cm^2

first side of rectangles is 6cm

second side of first rectangle:

6 * x = 24 \\ x = 4

second side of second rectangle:

6 * x = 12 \\ x = 2

Answer:

the dimensions of first rectangle: 4 and 6

the dimensions of second rectangle: 2 and 6

Answer:

Dimensions of:

Rectangle A are 6 cm by 4 cm.

Rectangles B are 6 cm by 2 cm.

Explanation:

It is given that:

The area of square is 36 cm^2.

Hence, the side of the square is given as:

Area = (side)^(2)\\36 = (side)^(2) \\side = 6\\\\Hence, the side of square is 6 cm.Now, as the area of two rectangles A and B are in the ratio:2:1This means that, the area of rectangle A is 24 cm^2.and area of rectangle B is 12 cm^2.( Since, 36/(2+1)=36/3=12Area of rectangle A=2×12=24 cm^2.Area of rectangle B=1×12=12 cm^2. )Hence, the dimensions of A are:6 cm by 4 cm.and the dimensions of rectangle B are:6 cm by 2 cm.
