They express emotions their own way. Everybody does. Like me for instance, when my mom and I are fighting, I go to my room, I cry and I shut down then when she thinks I'm done, she comes in to check up on me. She leaves me alone for only so long, so she can hold me if I'm not done getting everything out. We fight almost every day. She and I get our depression, anxiety and anger out our own way, and when we do it doesn't always end very well. No one gets hurt we just don't get along very well. We'll get along for like 5 minutes and then start fighting.
