Answer:
I'd feel concerned because there's a lot of people that grew up from different backgrounds and cultures so they don't know where to stop themselves if they make you feel uncomfortable. Sometimes letting people know where they need to stop will give them an idea so they can respect your personal space or if they're going into a really sensitive topic they're talking about. It may seem small, but just knowing that will create a stronger bond and more people will respect you if you respect them back. You should also communicate to the person or group of people if they're bothering you or saying something rude. Just communicating to others such as friends, family, and s/o will have a better understanding of your thinking and see things through your eyes. If you don't put up some boundaries, people will walk all over you and make you self-conscious about these things they do or say. Self-care is a MUST and it's not a selfish act, it's just putting yourself first in this situation.
