Answer and Explanation
RAID system can be defined as the process in which hard drives which are connected to the system are been set up in order to help speed up the performance of a computer system disk storage which is why RAID is mostly used on servers and high performance computers system . This RAID as well helps to combines multiple physical disk drive components into various logical units for the aim of increasing system performance.
The implementation of RAID Level 2 system would be beneficial to a university payroll system because it would help to easily detect any errors and inturn make necessary and important corrections that would need to be made in the system due to the fact RAID 2 would provide high data transfer rates and would be simple compared to other raid levels.
Therefore the RAID Level 2 system can still function if one drive malfunctions in which data could still be corrected.
Hence,The disadvantages of the RAID Level 2 system are that it is a very expensive and complex configuration to implement and all drives must be kept in in a synchronized condition.
