$\log_4 (2-x) = \log_4 (-5x-18)\\\\\implies 2-x = -5x -18\\\\\implies 5x -x = -18-2\\\\\implies 4x = -20\\\\\implies x = -\frac {20}4\\\\\implies x = -5$
