Answer:

V = 36 9/16 cm^3

Explanation:

The volume of a rectangular prism is V = (base length)(base width)(height).

Here we have:

V = (3 1/4 cm)(4 1/2 cm)(2 1/2 cm).

This becomes easier to multiply out if we first change all these mixed numbers into improper fractions:

V = (13/4 cm)(9/2 cm)(5/2 cm)

(13 cm)(9 cm)(5 cm)

and this becomes V = ------------------------------- = 585/16 cm^3

(4)(2)(2)

or:

V = 36.5625 cm^3, or V = 36 9/16 cm^3

Note: please use " / " to indicate division: 3 1/4 (not 3 1 4)

Answer:

36.5625 cm

Explanation:

So to find volume, you do base times height times length.

In this case the three numbers are 3 1/4, 2 1/2, and 4 1/2 so you do 3.25*2.5*4.5=36.5625. Round it however you'd like to!

Hope this helps!
