Since we can divide the trapezoid into two figures one which is a rectangle with dimensions of 10x8 and a triangle with dimensions of 4x8

The area of the triangle equals 1/2x4x8=

2x8 = 16

The rectangle's area is 8x10 = 80

When we add it we get 80+16=96 cm squared or the first option
