How do you know whether a graph represents a linear relation?

When we choose points on a grpah to substitute their coordinates in an equation, what is an advantage of choosing the points where the graph intersects the axes?

Answer:

The answer to the first part is if they increase by the same amount each time.

For example 4, 8, 12 (add 4 each time)

As for the second part, so you have the ability to multiply by 0. This can remove, and simplify stuff in the equation
