Can you help me with this another one PLEASE ? And thank you so much it helped me a lot!!!

The time, T, it takes Roxana to drive to work from her home varies inversely with the speed (or rate, R) in shich she drives.

If it usually takes her 30 inutes to drive the 12 miles from her home to her workplace,

how long will it take Roxana to drive from her sister's house which is 18 miles from where she works?

It will take Roxana minutes to drive to work from her sister's house.

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS QUESTION:

The time is in MINUTES...and the speed (or rate) is in Miles per HOUR

You need to convert minutes into hours.

Answer:

Explanation:

If she needs 30 minutes to drive 12 miles,

then we can get the minutes for 18 miles by the fraction:

30/12=x/18

18*30/12 = 45 minutes, which is 3/4 hour
