Solution:

Question 1.


x+1 \leq-2

Subtract 1 from both sides.


x+1-1 \leq-2-1


x \leq-3

The solution of the inequality in set notation = x ≤ -3

x-2>1

Add 2 on both sides.


x-2+2>1+2


x>3

The solution of the inequality in set notation = x > 3
