Answer:
From Captain Beefheart´s This is the day to
Nick Drake´s Northern Sky
Step-by-step explanation:
Although the experimental Rock music by Beefheart is unlikely to have produced love songs as such, this happens to be one of my favourites.
Probably because the richly ornamented melody of the guitar expresses the feelings even more than the words do.
As a matter of fact; the instrumental love songs, like the versions Miles Davis did of popular tunes in the fifties, are equally provocative emotionally speaking.
My musical taste, like most people, has changed over the years and it can be generally said that in our teens we often seek for love songs with which we can identify ourselves.
So love songs of popmusic are very often limited to a certain period of life. Which brings me back to Miles Davis, or Billie Holliday, the Beatles (strictly speaking pop music but much more enduring than most) or Nick Drake. These were musicians who made timeless music that probably will be listened to in a hundred years or more.
