Answer:

X = 2,097,152

Explanation:

So were gonna do PEMDAS/Order of operations (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction from left to right)

First since theirs no Parenthesis's were gonna skip to Exponents. (Remember that Exponents is not 2 * 21!!)

First we're gonna do

2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 =

2,097,152

Next we're gonna do the other Exponent

2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 =

1,048,576

Lastly is to recreate the problem

2^21 = x + 2^20

v v

2,097,152 | 1,048,576

~~~~~~~~~~
2,097,152 + 1,048,576 = 3,145,728
To check this we can do
3,145,728 ÷ 1,048,576 = 2,097,152
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hope it helps you : )
