Given:

Height of small rectangle = 6

Width of small rectangle = 2

Height of large rectangle = x

Width of large rectangle = 4

To find:

The missing side x.

Solution:

The corresponding sides of triangles are in the same ratio.

$\frac{\text{ One side of large rectangle}}{\text{Corresponding side of small rectangle}}= \frac{\text{Other side of large rectangle}}{\text{Corresponding side of small rectangle}}

$\Rightarrow (x)/(6) =(4)/(2)

Multiply by 6 on both sides.

$\Rightarrow (x)/(6) * 6=(4)/(2)* 6

$\Rightarrow x=2 * 6

$\Rightarrow x=12

The missing side is 12.
