Answer: 1/2 or -3

Explanation:

2x2+5x=3

Bring 3 to the other side

2x2+5x-3=0

Factorise

Factors of -6 that will give +5= +6 &-1

2x2+6x-x-3=0

2x(x+3)-1(x+3)=0

(2x-1)(x+3)=0

2x-1=0

2x=1

X=1/2 or

X+3=0

X= -3

Therefore

X=1/2 or -3
