Explanation:

P = 63 = 2×9 + 2w

2w = 63 - 18

2w = 45

w = 22.5 cm

A = w×l = 9×22.5 = 202.5 cm²

63=2(9)+2w

63=18+2w

63-18=2w

45=2w

divide both sides by 2

22.5=w

check:

P=2(9)+2(22.5)

=18+45
