Answer:

= 117 sweets altogether,

Explanation:

Gavyn has the same as Richard as the names are ordered same as the ratios appear in the question.

Gavyn has more than Stephen = Richard also has more than Stephen and Richard has same as Gavyn.

2 x 6.5 = 13

8 x 6.5 = 52

8 x 6.5 = 52

add totals together =117

We found 6.5 as the multiplier as 38/3 = 13

13/2 = 6.5

We then realized the ratios needed to be in 2's

If 4= 8 then 1 = 2 is the multiplier for 6.5

or simply 1 x 13 + 4 x 13 + 4 x 13 = 117

I divided simply as it helps with working out other ratio for decimal ratio's.
